A Design Studio in the Creative Fields of Life
A Yearlong Wisdom Collaborative Undertaking
Beginning in March 2010, I will convene a Design Studio. Like the Feast before it, it will remove impediments to love yet our attention will be given to unfolding new working models for humanity’s transition across the current seas of change and into Life’s desired future. Models for coalescing yourself, for coherently moving in your own authentic way. At this moment, humanity stands on a bridge. This bridge is neither connected to what came before, nor to our future.
Those who have yet to awaken, through the media’s voice, have designs on restoring what had been the previous status quo: a world largely depriving itself from authentic creative expression. They too stand on the bridge looking back and seeing illusory connections to our past. Many of the roused – en route awakening – are looking down at the torrent and turbulence of change below as they have yet to cease looking and listening to the images and voices of the past.
Others awakening are looking deeply into and moving in sync with the now and being informed via filaments from what will become our future: the place on whose banks humanity’s magnum opus will rise. We are poised on this bridge of our own design, patterned in part from the past (whose vestiges are crumbling), and patterned too from the unseen filaments of our future.
Here, we, on the bridge, are making our sacred crossing. We are suspended above the Grace of sluicing and fierce change. Our task is to stop looking below, stop listening to media’s echo of the past; instead we are to open to the Rose before us. We are to breathe her redolent notes and move forward while building new structures beneath our feet. Wisdom awaits. We are to take her hand, take her as our consort. To join her movements of love, compassion and creativity.
The upcoming Design Studio is the context in which we will create models for:
1) our forward movement on the bridge;
2) connecting our bridge to the fields of our future; and,
3) to leave the prosaic life born of the ideologies of the past.
We will foster the requisite movements within the constituencies of self to enable you to embody your sovereign creative life, the life that is of your own design, to step into one’s autonomous authority and poetics of your own creative expression.
